Giving Thanks

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

– 1Thessalonians 5:18.

Giving thanks in every circumstance is often not easy to do, especially when things aren’t going according to our plan.

That was true when we had to postpone the Tim Tebow event TWICE due to Covid-19 and the Texas Winter Storm! The REACH Board of Directors took a deep breath each time and said, “Thank you, Lord!”, even though we had planned for ministry and fundraising at what was to be the biggest event we’d ever sponsored.

Despite not having the events, a group of sponsors stepped up to help us reach the charitable giving goal of eliminating $2.5 million of medical debt for needy families. What an unexpected blessing!

But there’s more. When our third-party partner went to work gathering debt accounts and negotiating a settlement, our payment to eliminate $2.5 million turned out to eliminate over $5 million of medical debt! Our thanksgiving has abounded, this year, along with those whose debts have been eliminated!

Gratitude also comes from being able to help people with another kind of debt. Everyone does not have a medical debt, but everyone has a spiritual debt which must be paid. That debt not only has current but eternal ramifications. Watch my short video below on how you can be spiritually debt free today.

Speaking of thanksgiving, we are very thankful for each of you who support REACH and keep helping us touch lives!
